At Comfort Dental we determined that providing the best quality dentistry depends on using quality dental materials and skilled technicians. Comfort Dental decided long ago that in order to provide modern advanced dental technology, with minimal opportunity for error or need for "adjustments," would require having our own on-site dental lab.
Meet Felix ....(seated in this photo). Felix is our
on-site dental lab technician. He has over 25 years of experience handcrafting the cosmetic, restorative and reconstructive components that we use on a daily basis.

Yes... errors do occur. Errors in measurement, castings, fabrication, coloring, shade, alignment, etc. These types of errors are impossible to eliminate and are actually understandable. As a patient awaiting new crowns, or a bridge, or 10 new porcelain veneers.... any one of the errors mentioned above can be devastating. Guarantees and assurances do nothing for the patient who is forced to wait or reschedule appointments.

1. Turnaround is half the time of other labs. This allows us to get the patient back faster for final cementation of crowns and bridge. It also eliminates problems with temporary teeth and consequences that can happen when you delay dental work (sensitivity, infections, breakage, extra appts., etc.)
2. Our lab technician, Felix, is available during all clinic hours to make sure that the shade, shape, and contour of all dental work fits properly and is custom made to the patient's likes and needs.
3. Anything that may go wrong with the lab work can be fixed quickly and the patient
does not need to be rescheduled for another appt. He is there to make changes as needed, same day and usually within less than one hour.
4. It allows our doctors to see the dental lab work from start to finish and helps him to keep tabs on the quality and the progress. When dentists send work to outside labs they never see what happens with their patient's lab case. At our office we discuss each individual case from start to finish and keep daily scrutiny on all lab cases.
5. Most of our dental work involves redoing other dentist's work. A lot of crowns simply don't match natural teeth, and re-doing poor workmanship is what we have perfected with our on-site lab.
6. Most difficult cases are pre-planned with our lab technician, which allows us to foresee problem areas before we start. This insures fewer appts. and less patient aggravation.
