Dicor Crowns and Empress Veneers - Case #12

Our very busy local area business executive had sought the opinion of several area experts regarding a smile she called "unattractive and in need of some major work".

Most of the answers that she received included the need to wear braces for several years. As a busy professional, orthodontics was simply not an option for her. She wanted a fast solution to her problem.

Through careful model analysis and computer simulation, we were able to determine that Dicor porcelain crowns and Empress veneers would achieve a significant improvement in her smile, without the need to use braces.

This case included fabrication of 5 Dicor crowns and 5 Empress veneers. We combined 2 different porcelain systems in order to give this patient what she wanted: a broader, straighter, and more natural looking smile. Notice how we "lifted" the back teeth up in order to provide a straighter and more even smile.

The Dicor crowns enabled us to add the extra bulk of porcelain in order to "round" out the smile, lift her smile line, and accomplish something that not even braces could perform.

Dicor porcelain crowns have strength and wear characteristics that rival even the strongest metal crowns. They can serve as an equal substitute in many treatments where the patient simply does not want any metal to show.
